Striped Sweater, Burgundy Skirt

I've been trying to make a point of going on walks everyday and I happened upon this nature trail near my house. I'm really happy I found this trail and I'm excited to keep photographing here for upcoming blog posts! I'm pretty happy with how these photos turned out.

Anyways - the outfit.

Stripes are by far my favorite print. I own at least eight striped shirts and way too many other items of clothing for it to be acceptable. But I've been waiting until it gets cooler to bring out this striped sweater. I picked it up from a thrift store (originally H&M) this summer and it's just been hanging in my closet begging to be worn. I went on a walk a few days ago and the mornings are finally feeling crisp and cool.

This outfit is actually pretty H&M heavy by accident. I've featured this burgundy skirt before on my blog but it is definitely a staple in my wardrobe. I picked it up in the sale last summer for 5$! It's the perfect high waisted skater skirt. I've become really obsessed with jewel-tones this fall and this one is no exception.

I also love my tights in this outfit. I found them at Target on sale and knew I had to get them. They are a somewhat baroque print and so stunning on. They're thin so it's perfect for this time of year when it's chilly but not too cold out yet that I need thicker tights on. I found my boots at a thrift store when I used to live in Arkansas and turns out they are rodeo boots! They were hardly worn when I found them so I know they will last me ages, which is great. I also just worn a pair of gray socks from Urban Outfitters.

Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Such a great fall look although we’re clearly not quite that far into it yet with all the greenery behind you! :)

And yes, I am so beyond ready for the leaves to change! Is that too much to ask? Did you decide if you're going to JR JR tomorrow?

  4. I love that skirt, it's such a pretty color! I used to have tights like that that I bought at Target too, but they got a huge hole in one of the feet and my toe was constantly popping out, so I had to get rid of them. :C
