Turtlenecks and Paris

I am SO sorry two posts went out on Saturday. That was definitely not supposed to happen.

I've had this post scheduled for a while now but because of recent events I've debated putting it up. I don't really have any words to describe how I felt the week of the Paris attacks, Beirut, and so many other tragic events that happened in the past week.

I've had so many people ask me if I'm still going to Paris a week from now. The answer is: yes - for now. I won't lie and say when I heard of the attacks I reconsidered the trip. But right now we are playing it by ear. People have to keep living. We have to keep moving forward.  I'm determined not to let fear stop me from experiencing life.

I took French in highschool but haven't really thought about it since considering I took Spanish in college. My dad found this very old book at home and I've been trying to reteach myself some before we go. I'm pretty shocked by how quickly I've been able to pick it back up again. Simple phrases and words come back to me and I don't even need to study them too much. But I'll definitely be bringing this book with me!

I also don't know what it is about Red lips and turtlenecks that remind me of France but they do. Is it the classic French look? I'm not sure. I'm eager to see what the city has in store for me.
