Recent Obsessions: Inked in Pinks

I want to start a semi-regular series on my blog about my recent obsessions. it might be fashion, beauty or something completely different each time. I don't change things up month to month to have consistent monthly favorites so I thought I could do this more sporadically when I find things I really love.

I didn't mean to start this series with beauty but I just realized I wanted to create this series when I was editing these photos. Plus, it's the perfect way to kick off some obsessions!

I noticed recently that my everyday makeup look has included a lot of light pink shimmer. My first purchase was this Lorac palette (Romantic Rose), which sadly isn't available anymore but man do I love the colors! I featured it in my Valentine's day makeup look back in February. I use the light pink shade all over the lid and then the darker shade in my outer corner/crease. I haven't tried the shimmer-y black shade but maybe one day I will.

I've always been a fan of the Maybelline Color Tattoos (well ok when I started wearing makeup two years ago! haha). Everyone had talked about the "Inked in Pink" or "Pink Gold" shade so I knew I wanted to try it out. It's the perfect all over the lid color to just give your eyes a little something. It's also a really lovely base for pretty much any other color you want to apply.

As for a highlight, I've been loving the Makeup revolution highlighter in Peach lights. It's seriously the most beautiful shade and works perfectly with my lighter skin-tone. It's pretty much the same shade as inked in pink but a highlighter! Seriously, it's a dream.

On my nails I've been loving the Sally Hansen shade in 425 Pink Satin. It makes my nails look almost metallic and it's got pretty good staying power as well!

I didn't even notice how similar all of these products are in terms of color until I was painting my nails the other day. It's just such a flattering shade. It gives you that subtle glow without going overboard. It's especially nice to wear something bright and glow-y with the change of seasons!

Do you have any products you're loving as of late? Let me know in the comments!
