Neckerchiefs and Minimalism

Wearing this outfit gives me a slight urge to get rid of the majority of my clothes and become a minimalist. I love reading other posts about how minimalism has helped them and their journey to minimalism. But I know it would never work for me. I like having variety. I like waking up and choosing a different outfit, creating new combinations. When people promote minimalism they like to bring out those studies that say if you have a capsule wardrobe you'll feel less stressed during the day because it's one less choice to make. Example: HERE

But I don't know if it would work that way for me. I love waking up in the morning and choosing an outfit. It makes me feel creative and good about myself, which I know might sound silly.  I think it comes from numerous years of school and work uniforms. I love having this choice now.

I do wonder how I'll feel about minimalism when I move abroad (because it WILL happen someday). I've lived out of suitcases before. I want to live abroad for a few years though, which I have never done.  I guess I just worry about this blog - would I have enough content? Would I be able to switch things up enough? Would I be able to find places to take my own photos? Of course I'd have enough travel content but what about personal style? It seems like such a foolish reason to not take that jump of moving abroad (there are other reasons I haven't but these are some underlying questions) but this blog has become such a big part of my life. On the other hand, moving abroad has been on my mind for the past few months (if not the last year). I still have a long time to figure things out but for now it's something I'm really considering.

I dream of England but that seems so much farther now with the EU referendum. It was hard enough to get a work VISA for Americans before and now I can't even imagine what will happen.

Could you ever be a minimalist? Have you ever lived abroad?
