When I was younger, I had a laptop through school that had photoshop on it. When I came home from school I would spend HOURS creating little graphics and photo collages. I didn't know graphic design was even an art form back then but I guess that's what I was doing. Despite graduating with an art degree in college, I never took an classes on photo editing software except a graphic design class that (to be honest) was a complete waste!
But along with making little graphics and collages, I loved using the selective color tool and changing up the colors of my photographs. So, I decided to try that with these photos. I took them on a pretty cloudy, dull morning so I thought I'd spice them up with some color correction!
I color corrected this photos because it was sooo overcast when I went out to shoot! But I have been trying to find some new locations to visit. It was also so humid so my hair is a mess!
I've noticed recently in my town that they have these little mini parks throughout various neighborhoods. They're registered as parks on the Parks and Rec website but then when I visit them I feel a bit disappointed. They're really small so not many places to take photos (I thought) until I realized they are pretty empty! They are surrounded by houses but not many people are ever in the actual parks themselves, which I find a bit strange.
This particular park is right by where I live so it's a pretty easy walk in the early mornings when I like to shoot photos. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm a bit strange prancing around with a tripod in the early morning but ah, well!
I'm planning on coming back here this weekend when the sun is rising so I'm excited for that.
Dress: Thrifted (Basically the same)
Have you ever tried color-correcting your photos?
