Gingham and Pink

Since I've been away from the blogging world for a bit, I've been binge-reading some of my favorite blogs that I haven't been reading the past few months. One of those being the always sassy Hannah Gale. I was reading one of her recent fashion posts about how gingham and pink are huge this spring. So, I thought I'd try out both of them in one post!

Like I mentioned in my last post, I haven't been thrifting much. I went a few times in the past few months to try and find a green dress for something I was attending this past weekend but I never really found anything else that caught my eye... except these shoes! Aren't they awesome? They were brand new from Old Navy when I found them.

This outfit is a little too feminine for my style right now. I *probably* wouldn't wear this outfit (at least not the lipstick!) out yet but it's fun to experiment in my apartment, right? I don't know what it is about spring but it does make me want to try new styles, especially outfits that are more feminine.

I've been dressing really casually as of late so it was fun to dress up a little bit. I realized over the past few months I kind of... forgot about fashion? I wasn't really paying attention to what I was wearing and just threw on something really casual and easy. I think it's because everyone I hang out with dresses really casually so I feel the need to as well. I've also noticed I've been wearing a lot of monochrome outfits, which are great but I do miss wearing bright colors! Hopefully, the beautiful spring weather will perk up my style choices as well.

*Everything in this outfit is thrifted!*

Have you been experimenting with your style choices lately?
Let me know in the comments!

I can't believe I'm actually sitting here writing a blog post! It's been too long. It feels almost foreign to be writing on this space again but I missed it too much.

I wasn't planning on being away for so long. In fact, I was planning on getting back into blogging during the new year... and then life happened. I've been really, really busy, which I know everyone hates to hear from bloggers/youtubers. But it's true. I realized this week I haven't really felt like myself recently, which is really strange. For the past few months I've been really busy with a social life, which is good and bad. I feel like I went from 0 to 100 when it comes to my social life so sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. I'm very much an introvert so this new extroverted lifestyle might be getting the better of me...

So, I realized I really needed a distraction and blogging has always been my favorite thing to distract me from the real world so I'M BACK! I will probably be only posting once or twice a week but it's better than the radio silence, huh?

These photos aren't my favorite. My dress is terribly wrinkled, my hair is a MESS, and my compositions are bland but you know what? I'm okay with it! I've been wearing this outfit weekly since I thrifted this dress back in December.

I'm just happy to want to blog again. I haven't even been thrifting that much recently, which makes me a little sad. I have been trying out a lot of beauty products recently (thanks Birchbox and Sephora play boxes!) so I can't wait to share what I've been loving next week.

Dress and Sweater: Thrifted
Leggings: Old Navy
Shoes: Target

Please tell me how you've been doing! I've missed all of you.
Thanks for sticking with me during this quiet period.
