Postcards from Quebec City

It's taken me a long time but I am finally getting around to writing about my trip to Canada in May! I was planning on doing a full on travel guide but my memory card got corrupted (OF COURSE) and I lost quite a lot of photos... but at least I was able to save some! Plus, I've got tons of video footage I'll hopefully have up next week! It's taken me a little bit longer to edit than I anticipated.

Most of these photos are from Quebec City, which I adored. But I also went to Montreal and Burlington, VT. It was pouring rain in Burlington and Montreal so I really didn't bring out my camera too much there.

My friend, Shane, met me in Quebec City. Remember him from my Europe travel posts?? Yeah, we realized we've traveled to six countries together now! How crazy is that? I hadn't seen Shane in around a year and a half, so it was really fun to just hang out. We spent most of our time just exploring the city.

We did go to Montmorency Falls just outside of Quebec City for a morning. It's the largest waterfall in North America!

The only photo of us from the entire trip!

Quebec City has a very French vibe to it. The architecture is very French, the food, the language (obviously lol). Vieux Quebec has cobblestone streets filled with little shops and whatnot. You can then hike up to the top and see the Chateau Frontenac (the most photographed hotel in the world for obvious reasons!). I loved just walking on the boardwalk of the Chateau Frontenac. You can also walk along the citadel, which is really beautiful.

We visited the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (National Gallery of Quebec). It had some really cool exhibits and Shane and I even got to watch a modern dance practice!

Have you ever been to Quebec City?
Let me know what you think in the comments!
